Channeling your efforts in the right direction, you will make you get amazing and satisfactory results: the job you have always dreamed of or that you will discover you want to do.

Step 1 – Where are you going?

If you have a clear idea of where you want to go and you can speak English or the official language of the country, you can skip this step and continue to the next. If you have not yet decided where to go, or you know where but you can’t speak English or the official language, we suggest you to follow a basic course of foreign language to face up the job interviews. Nowadays there are many ways to learn a foreign language:

  • attending a course in a public or private institute in your town;
  • following an online course;
  • taking private lessons with a native teacher;
  • or by autodidact.

If you have little time and you would like to maximize it we suggest you to take private lessons with a teacher, to gain greater fluency in speech.

Step 2 – Pack your suitcases: CV and cover letter

If you have only used a classical CV, before you submit your application for a job offer abroad, we suggest you reading the difference between CV and Resume, the first more required in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, the second in the United States and Canada.

Step 3 – Check-in: check and update your professional knowledge

Whether you have a university degree or not, we recommend you to update regularly your professional knowledge. Nowadays showing a learning attitude is a positive quality for the recruiters. Discover where to find free online courses, read more about MOOC.

Step 4 – Safety checks: social networks

In the social networks you can look for job offers and send your application; follow the latest updates of a company of your interest or being selected directly by recruiters. If you don’t have a profile you should read what are the most used social networks for job searching.

Step 5 – Now boarding: send your CV

At this point you are ready for departure! Send your CV and, if possible, a cover letter or a short message to indicate what prompted you to apply for that job. Good luck and bon voyage!
